A suit on a hanger is inventory. A sport coat photographed at a wedding in Fort Worth, or on a fairway at Pebble Beach, is the whole reason we do this.
This is a gallery of real Man’s Shop clients wearing what they bought from us — custom suits and sport coats, tuxedos, and a great deal of off-the-rack clothing, photographed at weddings, galas, car shows, and ordinary Tuesdays. No models, no lookbook. Just men we know, dressed for something that mattered to them.

Every photograph here was taken by a client or their family and sent to us, and every one has a story attached that we heard about before we saw the picture.

Why we ask
Send us the photograph
A fitting room is a strange place to judge clothing. The light is good, the mirror is kind, and nobody is standing up to give a toast. What we actually want to know is how the jacket behaved four months later at a rehearsal dinner in August.
So we ask. Clients send us pictures from weddings, from Aspen, from the lawn at Pebble Beach, and from ordinary Tuesdays at the office, and we look at every one of them carefully. Some of it is vanity — it is pleasant to see your work out in the world. Most of it is research. A photograph tells us whether the trouser break was right, whether that shade of blue works in Texas sunlight, and whether the man looks comfortable, which is the only thing that really matters.
It also settles an argument we have with the industry. Menswear photography is usually a six-foot-two model in a size 40. Our clients are the sizes men actually are, from a 38 short to a 56 long, and quite a few of them wear boots with a sport coat because they live here.
Not everything in these pictures is custom, either. A good deal of it came straight off the rack — we keep a deep off-the-rack collection in every category precisely so a man can walk in on Thursday and be dressed properly by Saturday. The tailor upstairs does the rest.

If you have a picture of yourself in something you bought here, we would like to see it. Whether it ends up on this page is a separate conversation, and one we will have with you first.
- What to sendJPG, PNG or HEIC. Straight off an iPhone is fine, with nothing to convert. Up to 15 MB each, five photographs at a time.
- What worksThe whole outfit in frame, shoes included, taken in daylight if you have the choice. Good light beats a good camera every time, and a photograph somebody else took of you beats a mirror.
- Tell us the storyWhere you were, what the occasion was, and what you were wearing. That is what we write the caption from, and it saves us guessing.
- Before it goes anywhereWe look at every photograph and we ask you before we publish. If there are other people in the picture, please make sure they are content to appear on the website too.

About the gallery
Are these real clients?
Yes. Every photograph on this page is a Man’s Shop client wearing clothing bought and fitted at the shop. Nobody here was paid or cast, and no image is stock photography.
Is everything in the photographs custom?
No, and that is worth saying plainly. Some pieces are made to measure, and a great many came off the rack — we keep an extensive off-the-rack collection in every category, from sport coats and suits to tuxedos, trousers, shirts and boots. What the garments have in common is that they were fitted properly by our tailor before they left.
Can I send you a photograph of mine?
Please do. Email it to us or bring it by, and tell us where you were and what the occasion was. We will always ask before publishing anything, and we are glad to keep faces out of it if you would rather.
How do I get something like what I see here?
Call ahead and describe the occasion. We will pull options before you arrive, and if the jacket you like is custom we will take measurements at the same appointment. Most clients come out of a first visit with a plan and a date to work toward.
Do you dress men who are not a standard size?
Constantly. A fair portion of what we do is big and tall, short and stout, long-armed, and every other shape a real man comes in. Off-the-rack sizing plus our tailor covers most of it, and made to measure covers the rest.
Where is the shop?
100 S. West Street in downtown Arlington, Texas, open Monday to Saturday, ten to five. We serve clients across Dallas–Fort Worth, and out-of-town clients often plan a fitting around a trip in.
