The Man’s Shop Private Label is our made-to-measure program, developed in Arlington, Texas. You are measured once and choose cloth, lining, buttons, and cut. The garment is built to that specification in four to six weeks, and adjustments on collection are handled in-house by our own tailor.
What it is
Our label, our fit, our tailor
Private Label is the program Austin has built out since joining the shop in 2018. It is our own made-to-measure offering rather than a brand’s trunk-show program that visits four times a year.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. A visiting programme takes your measurements and leaves. Ours lives here, your measurements stay on file, and the person who sold you the garment is here when it arrives.
It also covers more than suits. Sport coats, dress shirts, trousers, outerwear, and a ladies’ made-to-measure program directed by Patrick.
What you specify
The decisions that are yours
- Cloth
- The largest decision, and the one that drives cost. Weight and weave matter enormously in Texas and we will be direct about what survives August.
- Cut and silhouette
- Trim, classic, or relaxed. Your call — not a house rule, and not an assumption based on your age.
- Shoulder
- Soft, natural, or structured. The single choice that most changes how a garment reads on you.
- Details
- Lapel width and style, pockets, vents, buttons, working cuffs, and lining. The lining is where most men have their bit of fun.
- Fit corrections
- Shoulder slope, posture, uneven arm length, rise. The measurements standard sizing pretends do not exist.

About an hour. Everything decided in one appointment, with a firm quote before anything is ordered.

Built to your specification. Ordering just before an extended factory holiday can add time and we will flag it.

Try it on here. Anything wanting adjustment goes to Enrique in our own alterations room, not back to a factory.

What is The Man’s Shop Private Label?

How is this different from a trunk show program?
A visiting trunk show takes measurements and departs until the next visit. Private Label lives in the shop year round, your measurements stay on file, and the people who sold you the garment are present when it arrives and when it needs adjusting.
What can I have made under Private Label?
Suits, sport coats, dress shirts, trousers, and outerwear, plus ladies’ made to measure through our program directed by Patrick. If you are unsure whether something is possible, ask — the answer is more often yes than people expect.
How long does a Private Label garment take?
Four to six weeks from your ordering appointment to collection. One appointment to order, one visit to collect. There are no basted fittings in between, which is the main difference from traditional bespoke.
Do you keep my measurements for future orders?
Yes. Once you have been measured, reordering is a phone call, and we also keep a record of what you have bought. This matters more than people expect when a wardrobe is built over years rather than in one visit.
Do you offer ladies’ made to measure?
Yes. Patrick directs our ladies’ made-to-measure program, covering suiting, blazers, and trousers. It runs on the same principle as the men’s program: measured here, built to specification, adjusted here.
