The Man’s Shop outfits executives and teams across Dallas–Fort Worth from Arlington, Texas. We coordinate custom or ready-to-wear clothing for groups, keep each person’s measurements on file, and handle alterations in-house. One point of contact manages the whole engagement from measuring to delivery.
The brief
Consistent, not identical
The goal is almost never matching suits. It is a team that looks considered together — a shared level of formality, a coherent palette, and every individual garment fitting the individual wearing it.
We start from what the group is for. A leadership photograph, a trade show floor, and a client-facing sales team are three different problems with three different answers.
From there it is logistics, and logistics is where these engagements usually fail. One person here owns the list, the measurements, the timeline, and the delivery.
What we handle
The parts that usually go wrong
- Measuring
- At the shop, or on site by arrangement for larger groups. Each person’s measurements go on file for future orders.
- Consistency
- Agreed cloth, formality, and palette across the group, with individual fit for each person.
- Timeline
- Custom runs four to six weeks. For a fixed date, we work backwards and tell you the last safe order day.
- Alterations
- In-house. For a group, this matters enormously — twelve garments needing small adjustments is a week here, not a month of shipping.
- Reorders
- New hire in six months? Their colleagues’ specification is on file, and matching it is straightforward.

A conversation about the group, the occasion, and the budget. We will tell you plainly what is achievable in your timeframe.
Measure
Individually, at the shop or on site. This is the stage people underestimate; allow proper time for it.
Deliver
Garments arrive, each person tries theirs on, adjustments happen here. One coordinated handover rather than twelve separate errands.

Do you outfit corporate teams and groups?
Yes. We handle everything from a single incoming executive to a client-facing team, with one point of contact managing measuring, timelines, and delivery. Measurements are kept on file so future hires can be matched to the same specification.
Can you measure our team on site?
By arrangement, yes, particularly for larger groups where bringing everyone to Arlington is impractical. Smaller groups are usually better served at the shop, where the full range of cloth is in front of them.
How far in advance should we start?
For custom, allow at least six to eight weeks before your date, and more if the group is large. Tell us the fixed date at the outset and we will work backwards to the last safe ordering day rather than discovering the problem later.
Does everyone have to wear the same thing?
Not usually, and it rarely looks best. Most groups want a consistent level of formality and a coherent palette, with each garment fitting the individual. Matching suits are appropriate for some occasions and we will do it where that is genuinely the brief.
Can you add a new hire later to match the team?
Yes. The specification and cloth are on file, so matching a later hire to the existing group is straightforward provided the cloth remains available. We will tell you at the outset if a fabric is likely to be discontinued.
Do you handle alterations for the whole group?
In-house, which is the main practical advantage of working with us on a group. Twelve garments each needing small adjustments is a manageable week in our alterations room rather than weeks of shipping back and forth.
