Is this a good first suit?
It is a sensible starting point for a first proper suit off the rack — a range of models, decent construction, and altered here so it actually fits. Custom is a later decision, once you know how often you wear one.
Which model should I choose?
Whichever fits your shoulder. That is the one thing no alteration meaningfully fixes, so it decides the model, and the waist, sleeves and hem are all adjusted afterwards.
How long do alterations take?
It depends on the work and the queue, and we give you a date rather than a vague answer. A hem is quick; recutting a jacket is not.
Should I buy this or go custom?
If you wear a suit occasionally, buy this and have it altered properly. Custom earns its place at weekly wear, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the more expensive answer.
