The Man’s Shop is an independent menswear store at 100 S. West Street in downtown Arlington, serving Dallas since 1972. Tailored clothing, sportswear, shoes and custom work, with our own tailor on site. Monday to Saturday, ten until five.

- Austin selects the range. It is not dictated by a head office to a formula.

- We will tell you what things cost and what drives the number, which is almost always the cloth.

- Owner. Has been fitting customers in this building since 1972 and is usually in the shop.
- Austin Roberson
- Store manager and buyer. Selects most of the range and runs the Private Label line.
- Patrick Milligan
- Haberdasher, and directs our ladies’ made-to-measure work.
- Enrique
- Master tailor, over twenty years with us. Every alteration is done by him, on site.
- What that means
- The person who measures you is the person who sees the order through. It is the main practical difference from a department store.

Is The Man’s Shop expensive?
It sits where an independent menswear store sits — more than a department store, less than a designer boutique, and the alterations are included on what we make. Cloth drives most of the variation and we will show you the range.
Do I need to know what I want before coming in?
No, and most people do not. Telling us what you are dressing for is enough to start. That question does more work than any amount of browsing.
Do you take appointments outside opening hours?
Occasionally, for customers traveling a distance or with genuinely impossible schedules. Ask Austin or Patrick rather than assuming either way.
Is there a dress code to come in?
None whatsoever. Come as you are, and if you turn up in a t-shirt nobody will think anything of it.
Do you alter clothing bought somewhere else?
Yes, routinely. Enrique works on garments from anywhere, and it is often how new customers first come to us.
