Made-to-measure women’s suits for Southlake, fitted at The Man’s Shop in Arlington. Once your pattern is settled, further orders are a phone call. Several Southlake customers have not been into the shop in a year and are still dressed by us.

- The first appointment is the only one that has to happen in person.

- High-twist wool recovers overnight on a hanger. Softer cloths arrive needing a press.

- For anyone traveling weekly, three good pieces beat six adequate ones and take up less room.

- A jacket with two bottoms produces more outfits than a matched suit, which matters when packing.

The process
Two visits, not five
- First appointment
- About an hour. Cloth, measurements, and a conversation about how you actually wear the garment.
- Build
- Four to six weeks. Nothing is rushed and nothing is sent overseas without us knowing where it is.
- Collection
- Twenty minutes. Anything needing adjustment goes to Enrique, who works on site.
- Alterations
- Included on what we make. There is no separate bill at collection.
- Afterwards
- Your pattern stays on file, so the next order is a phone call.

Can I reorder without coming back?
Yes, once the pattern is settled. It is how most of our Southlake customers buy after the first appointment, and it is the practical answer if you travel constantly.
What cloth survives a suitcase?
High-twist wool. It resists creasing and recovers overnight on a hanger, where a softer worsted arrives looking slept in.
How many pieces make a traveling wardrobe?
Around five that share a palette — two jackets, two bottoms, and one other piece. That produces a two weeks of outfits without repetition and fits in a case.
Where are you and what are your hours?
100 S. West Street in downtown Arlington, parking beside the building. Monday to Saturday, ten until five, closed Sundays.
