Groomsmen,coordinated
Seven men, seven schedules, one date that doesn’t move. We run the list so the groom doesn’t have to.
The Man’s Shop coordinates wedding parties across Dallas–Fort Worth from one point of contact. Start six to eight weeks out, or earlier if anyone is going custom. Out-of-town groomsmen can submit measurements remotely. Alterations are handled in-house, and because we sell rather than rent, every man keeps his.
How it runs
From measuring day to the aisle
Set the date backward
We work back from the wedding, not forward from today. Six to eight weeks is comfortable; custom needs more. Tell us the date first and everything else follows.
One list, one owner
One person here holds the roster, the sizes, the alteration status, and the pickup dates. The groom gets updates. The groom does not chase anyone.
Fittings and pickup
Local groomsmen come in. Out-of-town men send measurements, and we build in time to adjust when they arrive. Everything is ready before the rehearsal, not during it.
Common questions
Groomsmen coordination, answered
How far in advance should a wedding party order?
Six to eight weeks at minimum, and longer if anyone in the party is going custom, which takes about six weeks on its own. Earlier is always better, particularly in spring and autumn when the wedding calendar is busiest.
Can out-of-town groomsmen be fitted remotely?
Yes. They can submit measurements and we will build in time to adjust when they arrive. We always prefer to see a man in person where possible, so if anyone is in town beforehand, send them by.
Do groomsmen keep the tuxedos?
Yes, because we sell rather than rent. That is the quiet advantage of this approach: every man leaves with a tuxedo or suit that fits him properly rather than a return deadline and a receipt.
Can the groom’s attire differ from the groomsmen’s?
Of course, and it often should. A different lapel, a different facing, or a distinct cloth sets the groom apart without making the party look mismatched. We will show you options side by side.
What if a groomsman changes size before the wedding?
Tell us as soon as you know. Most garments have room to adjust and our tailor is on the premises, so a last-minute change is a scheduling question rather than a crisis, provided we hear about it before the week of.
Do you coordinate suits as well as tuxedos?
Yes. Not every wedding is black tie, and a well-cut suit in the right cloth is frequently the better call for a daytime or outdoor Texas wedding. We will talk through the venue and season with you.
