Some clients drive twenty minutes. Some fly in and do an entire wardrobe in a morning. Fifteen minutes from DFW International, and we plan the visit around your calendar.
The Man’s Shop serves out-of-town clients in Arlington, Texas, roughly fifteen minutes from DFW International Airport. Come in once to be measured and make selections, and we build the wardrobe over four to six weeks. Delivery is coordinated around your next trip, and adjustments are handled in-house when you collect.

One relationship, kept
Travelling tailors take your measurements in a hotel suite and disappear for six months. Overseas makers produce a good garment and then live nine time zones away when it needs a quarter inch taken off a sleeve.
What clients want is somewhere that knows their measurements, remembers what they bought last time, and has a tailor on the premises when something needs adjusting. That is a fixed address, not a travelling one.
Ours has been at 100 S. West Street since 1972. Your measurements stay on file. The second order is a phone call.

How a trip usually goes
Tell us before you come
Call ahead with what you are after and roughly when you land. We will block the time, pull cloth in advance, and have the floor ready so nothing is spent hunting.
One appointment does it
Measurements and every selection in a single visit. Clients building a full wardrobe usually allow two to three hours. That is one appointment, not a series of fittings.
Delivery on your schedule
Four to six weeks. If you are back through Dallas–Fort Worth, collect in person and we adjust on the spot. If not, we will work out shipping and handle any tweaks on your next visit.

Closer than you’d think
- DFW International
- Roughly fifteen to twenty minutes by car, depending on terminal and traffic. Genuinely doable between a morning landing and an afternoon meeting.
- Dallas Love Field
- About thirty minutes. Straightforward run down the highway outside rush hour.
- Downtown Fort Worth
- Twenty minutes west. Downtown Dallas is roughly thirty minutes east. Arlington sits squarely between the two.
- Parking
- Free and immediate. This is downtown Arlington, not a garage in a city center.
- Hours
- Monday through Saturday, ten to five. Closed Sunday. Call ahead and we will make the timing work around your flight.

How far is The Man’s Shop from DFW airport?
Roughly fifteen to twenty minutes by car depending on your terminal and the time of day. We are at 100 S. West Street in downtown Arlington, which sits between Dallas and Fort Worth, with free parking directly outside.
How many visits do I need if I’m flying in?
One to order. We take your measurements and you make every selection in a single appointment. You return once to collect the finished garments, which most clients time around a later trip. There is no series of basted fittings to schedule.
How long should I allow for the appointment?
About an hour for a single garment and two to three hours if you are building a full wardrobe. Call ahead with what you have in mind and we will pull cloth before you arrive so none of your time is spent searching.
Can you ship the finished garments to me?
We can, and we will discuss it at your appointment. Where possible we prefer you collect in person, because our tailor can then make any small adjustment on the spot rather than by post. Many travelling clients simply time delivery to a return trip.
Do you keep my measurements on file?
Yes. Once you have been measured, reordering is a phone call. We also keep a record of what you have bought, which matters more than people expect when you are building a wardrobe over several years rather than all at once.
Is it really worth flying in for clothing?
That depends on what you value. Clients who do it are generally after one relationship with a shop that knows their measurements and has a tailor on the premises, rather than a travelling maker who is unreachable when something needs adjusting. Arlington’s proximity to a major airport is what makes the arithmetic work.
